Incentive model for impact

Central to our start-up model is the believe in our incentive system for cluster coordinators and country representatives. Thus, Community Vision Group operates a five-star evaluation model based on colours for all start-ups and the aim is to ensure that beneficiaries contribute to the expansion and sustainability of the Vocational Training programmes through loan repayment. In this model, each cluster coordinator is allocated a maximum of 100 trained beneficiaries supported with start-up tools and capital. The evaluation matrix is as follows:

Type of star Description of the matrix
Green star If a cluster coordinator and country representative maintain a 100% repayment record for all start-ups supported (usually 100)
Blue star If a cluster coordinator and country representative generate profit through their work
Violet star If a cluster coordinator and country representative mobilise more deposits than the amount given out in loans
Brown star If a cluster coordinator and country representative make sure beneficiaries supported for start-ups are able to send their children or siblings to school
Red star If a cluster coordinator and country representative show evidence of beneficiaries moving out of poverty based on Community Vision Group’s poverty assessment indicators (access to food, quality of dwelling, asset accumulation, access to quality education, access to quality healthcare, as well as the ability diversify sources of income and save,
