Community Youth Polytechnic programme is a flagship initiative of Community Vision Group that emphasis the acquisition of skills for job creation. These the Technical Vocational Education and Training programmes that prepare trainees to the world of work. The programme provides technical, vocational, industrial, entrepreneurial and life skills training to young people who have completed from technical secondary schools. The programme is designed to empower youths through the provision of accessible, appropriate, and quality training. Community Vision Group provides pathways for attaining higher education for those with CAP, Probatoire and BAC or their equivalence. Through this programme, Community Vision Group intends to develop and implement a curriculum that leads to the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
The Community Youth Polytechnic programme is modular, and competency based, and is comprised of the following programmes:
- Wall and floor tiling
- Hairdressing, Beauty and Make-up
- Electrical and electronics technology
- Welding and fabrication technology
- Building construction technology
- Brickwork Technology
- Woodwork and cabinet making
- Fashion design and clothing
- Painting and decoration
- Plumbing and sanitary installations
